Jennie Hu
Jennie Hu is a dedicated advocate for culture and the arts, working to bridge the gap between China and New Zealand since 2010. With her unwavering passion and artistic vision, she has successfully initiated and led numerous influential art events and projects in both countries. At 37, after holding management positions at top multinational companies in China, Jennie immigrated to New Zealand and pursued a career path that aligned with her true calling.
Jennie made a life-changing decision to follow her passion for the arts. Leveraging her keen eye for aesthetics, nurturing energy for talented artists, and exceptional problem-solving skills, she has undertaken various creative endeavours in China and New Zealand.
Jennie is the Director of HUs International Artist Residency, VUE Artist Residency (Shanghai), Young Artist Foundation / YAF.

自2010年以来一直致力于文化和艺术的倡导和交流工作，她努力建构中新两国之间的文化交流的空白地带。凭借她坚定的热情和艺术远见，她成功发起并组织了许多在两国举办的有影响力的艺术活动和项目。37岁时，她在中国一流跨国公司担任管理职务，之后移民新西兰，并听从内心深处热爱艺术的召唤, 开始了追求富于创造性的职业道路。
她做出了改变性的决定，追随着她对艺术的热情, 凭借她对艺术的敏锐眼光、对艺术家才华的发掘和引导能力, 加上她兼具卓越的解决问题的能力，使她在中国和新西兰进行了一系列开创性的艺术项目和实践活动。
Jennie是HUs国际艺术家驻地、VUE艺术家驻地（上海）、青年艺术家基金会（YAF）的创建者之一和执行总监。也是新西兰国立奥克兰美术馆的基金会委员。曾任奥克兰大学基金招募委员会的委员, 和新西兰中国委员会成员.

30 years have passed, yet the youthful spirit remains unchanged, believing that this life is not just for the basic necessities of food and a bed under a tiled roof. The love for creativity, the love for ideas, and the love for art are mysteries written into the genes, constantly narrated in the heart. Although the steps on the earth of the journey are not easy, the soul can still gaze at the stars and soar freely.
30年过去，仍然不改少年心，相信此生不是仅为一张嘴的温饱、数方瓦下的一张床而来。热爱创意、热爱思想、热爱艺术是写进基因里的谜语，在心里不停歇地述说；虽然行走的步伐并未轻省，但心灵却可以仰望星空、自由飞翔。

HUs Boutique Venue provides art residencies for international artists. Artists can showcase their work and collaborate at this venue, experiencing New Zealand's diverse culture. Local artists may also have the opportunity for residencies at VUE Shanghai.
VUE >
VUE Residency Shanghai on Yuyuan Road is a joint project established by ART Yuyuan and HUs. A selection of the most influential artists and creative designers from Australia and New Zealand are invited to develop new design work in Shanghai.

YAF is dedicated to supporting young, talented and outstanding artists in New Zealand and China by providing opportunities to share and communicate their artistic creations worldwide. While inspiring their personal and professional growth.
