    Billy Apple graduated from the Royal Academy of Art in 1962, and was hailed as the first generation of Pop artists in the UK. In 1969, he moved to New York and started a series of pioneering activities of Pop and conceptual art, and went down in art history as one of the internationally recognised founders of the Conceptual Art Movement.

  • Wang Dongling

    Internationally acclaimed Chinese calligraphic artist Wang Dongling, known for his performative works, is revered as a living master of traditional calligraphy. Wang’s calligraphic work, references the traditions of calligraphy as text, but has evolved into a contemporary art form, frequently freeing the marks from visual meaning and extracting its abstract potential.

  • Vincent Ward

    Vincent Ward ONZM is a New Zealand film director, screenwriter and artist. His films have received international recognition at both the Academy Awards and the Cannes Film Festival. Jennie and Vincent have worked on multiple projects in New Zealand and China including film, structure and collaborations.

    A master of both printed works and ink painting, Pan considers light and night and the beauty of the two in unison. His ink painting of a white chandelier light is marvellous in detail and striking in its subtle contrast, while his printed work is rich in painterly detail.

  • Rubeta Keru Yuan

    Yuan Keru is a visual artist and filmmaker who was born in 1990 in Hangzhou, China and graduated with a Masters in fine art from the School of Inter-Media Art at China Academy of Art, Hangzhou, in 2013. She currently lives and works in Shanghai. Her artistic practice focuses on exploring the act of painting, spatial rhythm and narratives in video, combining the emotive experience with history, mythology and dreams.

  • Shen Piji

    A mixed-media contemporary artist known for his work with installation art, performance art and his Guqin performance art. The programme will see him showcase his artwork, and give live performances of the Guqin with Kiwi freestyle jazz musicians.

  • Shao Tong

    Shao Tong graduated from China Central Academy of Fine Arts Oil Painting Department in 2008. He engaged in art education after graduation, and have concentrated on independent art creation since 2015.

  • Wu Nianqiu

    Wu Nianqiu's works often use oil painting and installation media, using space deployment and on-site creation to reveal potential forms of energy around the body, life and death. Benefiting from the concept of energy, his work seems to reproduce calm scenes with mourning emotions by describing events or phenomena in a real angle.

  • You Piao
